Focus on Six Sigma
Six Sigma Training
A wave of Six Sigma implementation will consist of four major components:
- Overview of Six Sigma (1 day of training)
- Training for Six Sigma Champions (2 days of training)
- Training for Six Sigma Green Belts (10 days of training)
- Training for Six Sigma Black Belts (17 days of training)
Simons-White Associates’ Green and Black Belt Six Sigma Training and Certification Program build competent, data-driven Six Sigma practitioners. The flexible programs at Simons-White & Associates allow for Green and Black Belts to be trained together to improve the cohesiveness of Six Sigma projects in any organization.
Simons-White Associates’ instructors take a hands-on, real-life approach to Six Sigma Training. Candidates work on an actual business projects and apply classroom techniques. The program is technically challenging to ensure that all graduates learn how to implement solutions that can produce financial results. Instructors provide formal project specific feedback to participants in each phase. Students are also encouraged to schedule one-on-one mentoring sessions with their instructors to discuss project-specific hurdles.
During the training, the Green and Black Belt candidates are instructed in the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) methodology and the integration of a variety of Six Sigma tools in an overall approach to process improvement. Students are taught how to define and successfully launch a project, how to transition it from phase to phase, and how to complete a project and evaluate its success.
At the end of the Six Sigma Training, a review session is held with the champions and teams to show documented, measurable improvement on selected projects. At this point, the champions will sign-off on the projects and the candidates will now become Green or Black Belts capable of leading similar projects internally.
