ISO/TS 16949 – Automotive Industry
This is the quality standard designed for the automotive industry and is based on the ISO 9001 standard. ISO/TS 16949 also encourages a process-based approach. In addition, to the standard, the following core tools are required by the automotive industry:
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Control Plans
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
